What is digital printing?

Digital printing is the process of printing digital-based images directly onto a variety of media substrates. There is no need for a printing plate, unlike with offset printing. Digital files such as PDFs or desktop publishing files can be sent directly to the digital printing press to print on paper, photo paper, canvas, fabric, synthetics, cardstock and other substrates.

What is a proof?

A proof is a way to ensure that all your text is correct and properly positioned according to your specifications.

Will my finished piece look exactly like it appears on my computer screen?

Usually, there will be some differences. All monitors display images using transmitted light. Printed materials are lit from reflected light. Your monitor shows colors using RGB, while our commercial printing uses CMYK. Therefore, what you see on your screen may not exactly match the final product. We can review your concerns and also offer photo editing services to enhance your photos. Please understand that we always strive for pleasing colors and cannot, in some cases, create the exact color you want. We are not equipped to produce color reproduction-quality prints.

Can I get a price quote on my print job before printing?

Yes, please call us at (404) 321-5677 or select the Order & Quote Form.

What if my job requires a rush turnaround?

Rush production and delivery is a skill we've developed over 45 years. Call us, and we will do everything possible to meet your deadline.

Can I have color on any page I choose?

Yes, you definitely can! Our machines are designed to print color on any page you choose, so feel free to mix colors into your final printing wherever you like.

How do I create a bleed correctly?

In printing, bleed is a key concept that deals with how the edges of paper are printed or cut. Since printers grip each sheet by the edges to feed it through, they cannot print to the very edge.

Additionally, paper and other materials are often printed at high speeds, which can cause them not to feed ideally, even with professional printers.

If you print words, logos, or images that reach the edges of your design, they may be slightly cut off in the final product. Understanding bleed margins helps prevent this by allowing the design to extend beyond the safe printing area, ensuring a clean, professional look. An example below will help you understand better.
